A Mother's Rest is the nation's first and only non-profit network of caregiver respite & wellness inns! We create much-needed, affordable space for special needs moms, adoptive moms, military wives, and other full-time family caregivers.

Since 2017, A Mother's Rest respite retreats have provided tangible support, recuperative rest, therapeutic fellowship, and a peaceful sanctuary space for more than 9000 caregivers nationwide.

Every year, nearly half of all 3-night retreats at our MD & GA year-round respite inns are private groups. These can be requested by organizations (ie; Down Syndrome Association of Greater Charlotte, Howard County Autism Moms, Wounded Warrior Wives, etc), churches, or individuals wanting to invite other eligible caregiver moms (or dads!) to share a retreat with them.
Welcome to the nation's FIRST & ONLY year-round respite inns, where we offer 25 exclusive private weekends annually at The Terrace Guest House in Maryland and Lawton Place Manor in North Georgia. Each venue features 7 beautifully appointed guest rooms with both private and shared baths, up to 10 guests in Maryland and 11 in North Georgia when rooms are shared. Enjoy full access to the kitchen and the entire house, as we provide a home-like experience without meals.
For larger groups, explore our Porch Partner venues across various states, with pricing ranging from $180 to $500 per guest. Inquire anytime via email about availability for these unique accommodations, including weekends open for 2027 scheduling!

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MD & GA REQUESTS:
​
1) Requests for the plus-one year (2028) open each December 15th at 10am sharp. The entire year will be booked by 10:30am, so do not delay.
​
2) NEW FOR 2028: The weekend MD/GA request process is moving entirely online! Each inn will have it's own signup link, which will show all weekends available to choose as a private retreat. No more waiting for me to reply, or shifting weekends. Straightforward, easy, and also allows for a wait list.

3) Registration Donation: A $100 donation to our General Fund must be made at the time of scheduling.
​
4) 2028 Private Group Pricing: Same price as 2027! The cost per guest is $140 for 3 nights, $175 for 4 nights, and $210 for 5 nights. ALL GUESTS MUST BE ELIGIBLE ADULT CAREGIVERS. Private link for guest registration will be sent to you about 6 months out. If your organization prefers to cover the cost (instead of individual guests), you'd pay half at that time, and the remainder due 3 months prior.

5) Review the available weekends ahead of time. First come, first served.

6) We can only accommodate ONE weekend *per group* at each location. (with some exceptions).
​
7) These respite weekends in MD & N GA are for adult, full-time family caregivers only. Moms/women, dads/men, or couples. Sorry, no families, children, or guests under 21 in GA or MD.
