The Vision: AMR's third year-round caregiver B&B wellness inn (joining Maryland and North Georgia) will be a 20-acre respite campus, conveniently located in the Greater Chapin/Little Mountain/Peak/Prosperity/Newberry area of central South Carolina on the north side of Lake Murray. Our B&B type respite inns are a peaceful, home-away-from-home sanctuary exclusively for special needs moms, dads, and other full-time family caregivers. Frequent AMR respite retreats provide these families with the gift of recuperative rest & extended fellowship with other parents who understand their lives. This type of care is essential to strengthening these families for what are often life-long journeys. The need is great, the demand is greater, and the Greater Chapin area is the perfect place to welcome and care for South Carolina's caregivers.

Belle Haven will be custom-designed by our Founder in a Queen Anne/Low Country/Farm House style, with porches as far as the eye can see. (see styles below) (15) individual respite suites, as unique as each of our caregiving guests, will be the focal point of our campus, and will be open every weekend year-round to be another #HomeAwayFromHome for Southeast Region parents & caregivers. An innkeeper's residence will ensure our guests have on-site support, and will also house public AMR offices. Beautiful courtyards with water fountains, palm trees and crape myrtles, an in-ground pool, sauna, exercise room, library, guest tavern, and entertainment room will be included. Later, a community coffee shop and a natural wellness center will be built to provide whole-self and long term healing for all of our guests.

A Mother's Rest is a unique, first-of-it's-kind service model . AMR-owned and managed, year-round wellness inns serve the most

caregivers annually. These allow us the flexibility to serve as needed, and to schedule weekends for many different diagnosis-specific retreats. Long term, it is our organizational plan to own many historic B&B type respite inns regionally, all over the country. Our free-style format provides a sanctuary for physiological decompression, recuperative sleep, and essential therapeutic fellowship with other moms and caregivers who really "get it". The need is SO great, and the HOPE and HEALING our respite inns bring to these parents & caregivers can only be measured in their attendance and overwhelmingly positive reviews and testimonials.

AMR continues it's mission to strengthen special needs families & full-time caregivers through the growth of our nation network of wellness inns and partners. We lead with vision and courage to create another year-round respite space for these most deserving families. A Mother’s Rest has given me a community that I needed and searched for for almost two decades.
The respites offered provide peace, calm and tranquility for some and camaraderie and peer
support for others.
I am blessed to have found and gained friendships with mothers from near and far, and treasure the times we get to meet up again and again, or even just reach out by text. They are mothers who listen and never judge. I feel tremendously grateful to have found and become a part of this group of lovely ladies.
