The Terrace Guest House, the NATION'S FIRST YEAR-ROUND CAREGIVER WELLNESS INN, opened in November 2018 as a restored 1798 tavern inn. It provides a restful sanctuary for 400 special needs parents, adoptive parents, and family caregivers annually, exclusively serving those caring for loved ones with disabilities or chronic illnesses.

This comfortable, casual retreat features seven private bedrooms and four and a half baths, offering a peaceful space to restore health, heart, and hope year-round.

Contributions from individuals, businesses, churches, and foundations ensure our respite retreats remain affordable for all caregivers.

״When I first came to A Mother's rest, I didn't even know I was as tired as I was, in all ways possible. I was drained and empty. I thought their motto "You can't pour from an empty cup" was cute but didn't apply to me. Boy was I wrong. By the end of the weekend, I was so full of calm, wonderful energy instead of the nervous, gotta go go go energy and it made me a better mother to my 3 children who all have complex issues.
