About The Event

3 nights of peace, sleep and friendship with other moms and female caregivers who already understand your challenges!  Our inn functions like an AirBnB.  Guests have 24/7 access to a full kitchen, both in the Manor House & The Cottage. Breakfast is sometimes provided by local volunteers, but not always.  Plenty of local options or bring your own!  Transportation and other meals extra.   Enjoy our beautiful outdoor pool!   Completely casual, sleep as long as you want.   Zero expectations of you. You don't even have to come out of your room if you don't want to :)  Contributions toward your stay are necessary to support the maintenance and utilities.  Donations are tax deductible.  Grants may be available by request.

Facing the East lawn, with sunrise in the morning, it has a beautiful, hand-painted King size bed with a quilt in taupe and aqua. Private ensuite full bath with newly re-tiled, over-sized shower for two. Stunning original fireplace with mirrored quarter-sawn oak mantel.

    3 nights lodging. Named to remember Ty Cobb and what he means to this community, this 2nd floor room has North facing windows overlooking the pool. Deep ocean blue walls & 14 ft ceilings. Stunning Queen sized oak poster bed. Two comfortable sitting chairs and a table adorn this room. Plantation desk. Original fireplace mantel painted white. Full bath with tub/shower combo.

    3 nights lodging. Manor House. 2nd Floor. Named to honor Brigadier General, Quarter Master General , & US Ambassador Alexander Lawton, this room is the master suite. This room showcases his tremendous life contributions and service to the state of Georgia during the Civil War and later in his life. With east facing views over the front lawn, this room is painted in gray and boasts a high-back King bed with a quilt in red, white and blue. HUGE master bath suite with large tiled shower.

  • Sarah's Sanctuary

    3 nights lodging. Named for Ambassador Lawton's wife, Sarah Gilbert Alexander Lawton, she was the epitome of "the lady of the house". In high Victorian style, she graced these halls and greeted distinguished guests. Her room is directly across the hall on the 2nd floor, with stunning white wainscot paneling and a private balcony overlooking the pool. King cherry poster bed with a quilt in pale peach and mixed tones of aqua in the room. Shared hall bath.

  • Corinne's Comfort

    3 nights lodging. This room is named after the Ambassador's beloved eldest daughter, Corinne, who died at the age of 29 from yellow fever. King white wicker bed with stunning, bright blue floral quilt and peach walls. This room overlooks the South gardens. Full private bath with tub/shower combo.

  • Louisa's Journey

    3 nights lodging. This room is located in our Cottage. It is named for another of the Ambassador's daughters who often traveled with him to his post as Ambassador to Austria & Hungary. Queen sized wooden headboard. This beautiful quilt is done in the colors of the Hungarian flag, as an additional tribute to our Founder, whose maternal ancestors hailed from there. The cottage has a shared living area, shared full bath with original claw foot tub and shower, and a kitchenette.

    3 nights lodging. This room is located in our Cottage. It is named for another of the Ambassador's daughters. Born from two prominent families, her full name was Sarah Hillhouse Gilbert Nora Lawton. Her room has a unique rattan Queen sized bed and bright block print quilt. The cottage has a shared living area, shared full bath with original claw foot tub and shower, and a kitchenette.
