Once described as 'perhaps the most palatial home in all of Florida', the magnificent Major Sherman Conant house is now a vacation and whole house rental property. Circa 1884, this 3 story, 8 bedroom, 6.5 bath home is a stunning example of Queen Anne architecture by famed New England architect Rufus Sargent.
With twelve foot ceilings, a grand staircase and a sweeping veranda, our caregiving guests can escape into the luxury of rooms steeped in American history. One block to the St. Johns River, 30 minutes to St. Augustine and 45 minutes to Gainesville.
There's so much to do and see in Palatka! River activities, history, antiques, shops & restaurants, town festivals, bird watching , porch sitting, and St, Augustine Beach is only 30 minutes away!
