Experience the magic this holiday season!
Join your AMR Family for a truly magical recreation of the classic holiday story, THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride. Climb aboard one of their powerful locomotives and historic train cars as it departs the Bryson City Depot for the North Pole to pick up Santa Claus himself. Upon arriving at the depot, we'll be immersed in the story as the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad chefs serve you hot chocolate and sweet treats while singing and dancing all the way to the Pole! On the return trip to Bryson City, Santa will visit the coach and hand out the first gift of Christmas to each child.

What to Expect
THE POLAR EXPRESS™  is a 75 minute round-trip passenger train excursion. In the Bryson City, Train Depot Village, you will find food, shops, and visits with Santa!  

• Our own private car means no one will be bothered by outbursts or behaviors :) 

• The Staff will do their best to accommodate for sound, but their goal is to provide the same exciting musical experience in our car as all the rest.  If your child has severe sound & sensory challenges, please bring headphones.

• The Great Smoky Mountains Railroad can accommodate getting guests in wheelchairs and strollers on board with a lift.... HOWEVER....there is not *seating space* for the wheelchair/stroller.  Those who are able to sit upright safely after being moved into a regular seat will do just fine.  There are no straps, restraints, or seatbelts on board. 

• COST: Train ride is $35 per person ages 2+. Children under 2 years are free in a paying guest's lap.  REGISTER FOR YOUR TOTAL NUMBEROF SEATS BELOW. 

• HOTEL:  We have not organized a group hotel for the weekend, but there is enough to do in the area that you could certainly stay! 

• PREFER A PRIVATE CABIN/HOUSE for your larger family?  Book your own local VRBO/AirBnB.  We highly recommend the properties and experience with Carolina Mountain Vacations!
